Emily Zhu is an aspiring YA writer who isn’t used to writing about herself in the third person. She goes by Em for short and likes puns and em dashes. (Hence the blog name. She’s quite proud of it.) Her blog was started in June 2016, with no real theme in mind. Mainly book-related things (her own writing, occasional book reviews), but also things that she finds interesting and would like to share.
She grew up in New York City, but left the tall skyscrapers behind to study at the University of Rochester, where she’s currently a junior, studying English Literature, Creative Writing, and History. She enjoys reading and writing, prefers coffee over tea, and is constantly making references to Parks and Recreation.
Her dream is to have her work be included in a Norton Anthology, or to be a featured author at a book convention. She’ll keep writing either way.
